Hi I am Laura 46 fighting stage four non small cell lung cancer. I was diagnosed about one year ago. I have been on chemo ever since. Currently using opdivo. Just looking to make some friends in similar circumstances to talk.

Hi Laura

I have stage 3 B lung cancer and have recently seen that immunotherapy, Opdivo has been approved by the FDA.  How are you coping daily on this and have you seen any improvement in the way you feel.

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this at such a young age.  May God bless you on this journey.

Opdivo has been great. I have had virtually no side effects. I can eat anything without getting sick and my energy level has really improved tremendously. Traditional Chemo was really hard and quite opposite so I am so glad to be on the opdivo. I get the results of my pet scan Wednesday so fingers crossed it is working as good as I feel.

I was diagnosed in May 2013. I have had radiation and chemo. I have been on Opdivo since Sept. 2015. I have had really good results. The side effects have been minimal. I have some joint and bone pain, some memory issues, and a little fatigue. Nothing compared to regular chemo.

Hi Laura I am going through the same thing you are just a bit more that it spread to my brain although we both are miracles and I am here to listen and talk it is emotional at times  although I do believe in prayers and friends and God and that's what helps me get through the day so even when things are not OK it's OK because I know I'm took an care of no matter what I am here God bless God is good

Hi Laura! I received the same diagnosis in the beginning of April last year. I was shocked! Thought it was allergies..... When I went to the Doc my O2 sat was 85% and I wasn't really having trouble breathing! After being in the hospital for a month along with a bronchoscope of course I was told I had inoperable Stage 4 small cell lung cancer! Since then I ve had a few different chemos; each stopped when they stopped working. Now I m on an oral med twice a day called Taflinar and my last PET scan showed some reduction in tumor size (I have  mets to the liver and bone) so this was great news! I m going to keep fighting and stay positive although I have some pretty down days on occasion. Feel free to write to me anytime. Stay surrounded by positive people; try to keep the negativity away. Stay strong.....

I try as we all do today was not such a good day unfortunately. I have been getting some migraines so the doc has ordered an MRI. I am awaiting the insurance to approve. Insurance for me sucks since I am on public aid. Hopefully the approval will come through soon and the results will be good from the MRI. Hope you are having a good day.
