now I have dressing and a bandage before the layers of compresion. I realize I am nieve and have such a lot to learn. Try not to bump your legs - dont cut them - dont scratch them. Yes we must take extra special care so they do not weep and get infected. I am on penicillin but a little more than wearie. The dressings at the right tension feel better but my I peed last night. The pain in my legs was horrid but I feel better today so being an optimist I shall look forward to my elegant new legs which do not hurt as much.:) There are always blue skies somewhere (it is raining here at mo) xgins

Good to stay positive gins and the peeing is actually a great sign as it is indicative of the fluid moving!

Stay positive i went through the same experiance. before my lymphodema was diagnosed i had swelling in both legs, The left leg blistered and the skin broke down, The care i recieved helped it all to heel, like you i had dressings ect before the compression bandages, It did work and now its all healed, a buit blotchy looking but i can cope with that, Im in my below knee stockings and i maintain my condition well so take it from me although it looks bleak at the moment there is light at the end, Good luck, x
