My Nurse dressed my legs she was horrified at my blisters bless her so.........

now I have dressing and a bandage before the layers of compresion. I realize I am nieve and have such a lot to learn. Try not to bump your legs - dont cut them - dont scratch them. Yes we must take extra special care so they do not weep and get infected. I am on penicillin but a little more than wearie. The dressings at the right tension feel better but my I peed last night. The pain in my legs was horrid but I feel better today so being an optimist I shall look forward to my elegant new legs which do not hurt as much. There are always blue skies somewhere (it is raining here at mo) xgins

Good to stay positive gins and the peeing is actually a great sign as it is indicative of the fluid moving!

Stay positive i went through the same experiance. before my lymphodema was diagnosed i had swelling in both legs, The left leg blistered and the skin broke down, The care i recieved helped it all to heel, like you i had dressings ect before the compression bandages, It did work and now its all healed, a buit blotchy looking but i can cope with that, Im in my below knee stockings and i maintain my condition well so take it from me although it looks bleak at the moment there is light at the end, Good luck, x
