does anyone know anything about using a pump on you legs

You have to be careful about pumps because there is a risk they just move the fluid to another part of your body and cause problems there (particularly the groin). But if you have a good sequential pump (which means there are several chambers which inflate in sequence, mimicking the action of mld) and a trained operator who understands how much pressure to use (or teaches you how to use it properly), it can be a useful tool for lymphoedema. It's also important to clear the upper body first using mld techniques. My son's clinic has one, the brand is Flowtron Hydroven 12. He has used it a few times and quite likes it, although he finds mld better. If you can't access mld easily, a pump might be the way to go. Hope that helps

thank you .its the flowtron hydroven 12 that l am trying. l found that my legs dont feel as heavy but the pain has stayed the same

l have run up the stairs today the first time in years that l have been able to do that yeh
