With a bit more searching I've found more about Dr. Alex Ramsden in Oxford, a doctor who does microsurgery for lymphoedema. Details here: olp.surgery/about-us.php
Hi I had Dr Ramsden do my leg its an amazing operation if you have a look you will find my blog all about it, good luck and hope you get good results if you decide to have it done, Xxx
Hello Barb, you will have to go for an initial consultation where they will inject a dye into your feet, (its not painful) they will then scan and see if your legs have a channel they can link it to with this operation, they say its more successful in secondary lymphodema, they will be totally honest though if you are a good candidate, it cost £650 not cheap and the actual operation is £16.000 very expensive, its not available yet on the NHS but I feel it will be in time especially if more people have it done privately it will become more widespread. good luck xxx
