Hi Everyone

Has anyone heard of doctor Ramsey from Oxford ?

I’ve been told he does work for lipo/ lymphodema patients but I’m not sure if available on the NHS or you have to go private ?

Really hate this disease it’s really depressing .

Please let me know if any of you have heard anything about Dr Ramseyplease

Many Thanks

I've found a Dr Kelvin Ramsay, details of whom are at: royalmarsden.nhs.uk/private... He specialises in Lymphoedema, using microsurgery.. You may also find this previous post useful, by "Microsurgeon" healthunlocked.com/lsn/post...

How can I know if I am a candidate for this op ?

Hello Barb, you will have to go for an initial consultation where they will inject a dye into your feet, (its not painful) they will then scan and see if your legs have a channel they can link it to with this operation, they say its more successful in secondary lymphodema, they will be totally honest though if you are a good candidate, it cost £650 not cheap and the actual operation is £16.000 very expensive, its not available yet on the NHS but I feel it will be in time especially if more people have it done privately it will become more widespread. good luck xxx
