Hi all. So it's been 8 months now since I had SAPL suction on my left leg. My leg is still doing great and I'm happy with results. Will be planning to do the right leg early next year. The other great news is that after having Medicare deny paying as the say it is cosmetic, my secondary is a true secondary (whatever that means) and they just reimbursed a substantial amount. Did not expect it bit I am praising God.

Great news! I’m 1 year post op now, and due to see my surgeon in 2 weeks time. Will get the before and after pictures. Xx
Super news, how do you find wearing compression stockings 24 hrs? Is it really tough?
My doctors are against sapl as they aren't convinced it works for fibrosis and believe the risks of worsening my lymphedema are too great. Your story is really positive
AMH2 my leg was very fibrotic hard and it hurt all the time. SAPL removed all the fibrotic tissue and fluid. My leg is small and soft now and doesn't have all that poison in there. It barely hurts at all now. I was wearing garments before the surgery for the most part., so no big deal except since leg is smaller they stay up better. I take of garments for about half hour to hour on any given day. And sleep in a lighter one at night. I am very happy so far with this surgery. You really need a top notch doctor who knows what he is doing and stays up on current medical procedures.
AMH2 my leg was almost all fibrotic tissue. Yes i had it done in USA. Southern California. It was so small right after surgery and has gotten smaller. Very shapely. I am able to do pretty much anything I want and i am starting to build some muscles in my leg primarily by walkung and swimming.
