Radio active iodine

Morning all, hope everyone is as well as can be.

I was thinking yesterday and it hurt lol, around 20 years ago I had Graves' disease which I had to have radio active iodine not 1 but 3 as the other 2 had no effect could this have caused my lymphoedema ?

There may be a link, especially if lymphoedema developed at the same time as the procedure - but it's incredibly rare - have you discussed it with your lymphoedema clinic?

Hi lynora, No I never thought but will mention it on my next visit next month, I was reading something about lymphoedema and radioactive yesterday and made me think about it.

Are you on thyroxine? High dosage or maintenance dose?

I'm on 125 mg daily
