Had yeast infection in larynx and upper respiratory do to steroid. Meds cleared it. Still hoarse?? Suggestions?? Experience s??

Do you use a humidifier? Warm fluids with honey and lemon.

Than you K8porter, I do use Love natural honey, lemon and herbal teas!! Have you tried adding grated ginger root to honey and lemon? Helps loosen mucous. Definitely soothing. Have not used humidifier. Good idea! I'll give it a try.

Doc prescribed doxycycline now, to treat persistent sinus infection. He thinks it may be contributing to lingering laryngitis.

I also have hypogammaglobulinemia, Primary Immune Dificiency. Just began holding therapeutic level, between IVIG replacement therapies. Recurrent infections probably aren't helping the larynx. They definitely are not helping me gain better control over asthma.

Thanks again for replying!

Hi Mahod, my allergist hd me do a trial with the budesonide suspension & perforomist neb x2day inplace of the dulera & spiriva for abt 6wks. She ws tryna think "outside the box" ref my chronic cough. The treatment hd absolutely no impact on my asthma or chronic cough other thn a really dry mouth. I recall havn to use biotene to keep my mouth moist😬 Glad it seems to be working for you! Continued luck with the treatment & take good care😊

Thanks A4Mami,. My doc is using it as trial too, along with prophylactic azithromycin 3 days a week.

I am hoping to return to breo elipta inhaler. Looks like trial is 4 months now. Docs trying to prevent more pulmonary damage.

Dry mouth definitely!!

Thanks again and take care!
