Hello, I'm new to asthma too! Told two years ago... I'm 50, brazilian and female and was a healthy person until then. What treatment are you doing?

Me too. It really sucks when you never had it as a child and now as an adult you have it. There are days when I cough like crazy and days when it seems to be in control.

My recommendation is to find out what triggers you. I'm 16 and have had pretty severe asthma since I was like 3. There are many things that can trigger you, and can be different for everyone. I have a lot of triggers like exercise, extreme humidity or extremely dry air, smoke, pollen, and a lot of other things. If you try to avoid your triggers, it can help a lot until you find the right medicines or treatments. Good luck!

I was diagnosed this year at 63 years old! Never smoked and been healthy most of my life. I do have terrible sinus problems, surgery, etc. My doc thinks the asthma is secondary to the sinus issues. It is also started by coughing. I'm on Breo inhaler and albuterol nebulizer which I use when I start wheezing.

Good luck! It is a journey...
