So starting about 3 months ago, I started experiencing some very strange physical symptoms, starting with what I thought were heart issues (irregular heartbeat, palpitations, chest pain). I was traveling through Southeast Asia at the time, so two trips to a thai hospital later I was told that it was anxiety.
I had depression for about a year when this happened but had never experienced anxiety before, so this was strange for me to hear and hard to except.
Now, three months later, the symptoms have changed to being purely muscular. I have twitches all over my arms and legs, I feel very weak and sore constantly, and the muscles in my throat constantly feel tight.
Has anyone had physical symptoms that range as much as these and have lasted continuously for this long? If so, what has been the most helpful piece of advice you've received on how to alleviate these symptoms?

I’ve had all the symptoms you’ve listed. They aren’t fun and they can be scary sometimes but remember they can’t hurt you! Keep yourself distracted and busy.
It’s so challenging. I feel this all the time. The throat tightness is weird and my ear hurts from grinding my teeth constantly. It’s just a weird thing anxiety does. It sucks so bad.
I have been having the constant pain under my left boob. And I seriously hate it. It’s like a pain that just won’t go away. It sucks. I have had a chest X-ray a few months back... I hope it’s not something serious. Have you experienced this?
I've lived with anxiety and panic for over 40 years. It seems that symptoms travel all over our bodies. I can remember when my throat felt like it was closing off. I don't experience that anymore. My biggest scary symptom is tremors when I awaken in the morning. If I don't have them and I feel "normal" then usually the rest of my day is pretty good.
It seems like I get rid of one symptom and there's this "worry" place in my brain that needs to be filled and so them another. new, symptom replaces it.
I've tried to mentally fill that place. Easier said than done. But I will never give up hope.
I think you should go to an internal med DR and get thoroughly checked and possibly a neurologist for an MRI. Some of what you are describing sounds very familiar to me. Hope you get this resolved.
I have... absolutely. My life has done a complete turn around along with symptoms, very similar to what you describe, after doing brain training through myoptimalbrain.com.
Basically, I was living in a state of fight or flight constantly. My brain was so out of balance...my body followed. Though this office is near me, it can be done from anywhere. Give them a call. They are so supportive in so many ways. They opened doors for me that I am so grateful for. Though I still have some underlying health issues caused from EBV, I feel better than I have in decades. My husband has seen such a huge change in me he is now starting the program to help with his sleep disorder. Both my girls have anxiety and they want to try it as well. I believe this would benefit anybody. I am blown away. I wake up joyful and laugh again. I am making plans and am excited to live! I hope this helps. We are NOT alone and we don't have to keep living in this cycle. Be well.
