LDN effectiveness

I've been on LDN for about a year now to treat Fibro and knew winter would be the test as to how well it works. Well, don't know if perhaps my expectations were too high but have to say I'm disappointed. I still experience a lot of pain especially when it snows. I'm taking all the supplements recommended, watch my diet etc and do yoga. My hypothyroidism is being treated with NDT. I've spent a lot of money trying to feel better. I'm frustrated. The only thing LDN does for me is it gives me a good nights sleep, usually. Should I quit taking it???

Help!

It's your choice, but I would wager you're getting more relief than you realize. For me, LDN has not stopped Fibromyalgia flares and I still feel worse in a cold, damp environment (even 45F-60F is too cold for me).

However, for reasons I won't go into here, I had to go off LDN for 6 weeks this past summer. Buy the time I had a script again, I was in severe pain - much more than I remember from 4 years past. Happily, it only took a week back on LDN for the relief again.

If you choose to go off LDN, be prepared for a return of your initial pain level. Of course, we are all different and it may not happen for you.

I highly recommend having a talk with your doctor and/or pharmacist about this as well.

Thanks for your advice. I won't go off of it right away anyway as I sill have quite a bit left. Will talk to my Dr about it per your advice. I'm just frustrated I guess.
