The fat looks fine to me. In fact if it was my dinner, I'd dress it in olive oil, either a vinaigrette or mayonnaise.

My concern might be that's too much protein for one meal, unless it's your only meal of the day. You can only utilise so much protein at a time, so not all of it will be turned into lean tissue, and protein causes insulin release.

I try for 30-40g of protein per meal if I am eating twice a day, and a little less if I am eating 3 times.

thanks for that this was only thing i have had to eat today its not very often when at work i get to eat a lunch best i managed today was an apple and orange (i would not normally eat that much salmon in one sitting it was just that it needed eating up and I'm to tight to throw good food away lol) I did drizzle with some balsamic vinegar had run out of olive oiland also ran out of olives which i would have put with it as well. It tasted awesome.

It's not just the salmon, the mozzarella has about the same protein per gram as salmon.

I am more concerned about your lunch. A meal of fruit doesn't belong on a low carb diet. If you can only pack a simple snack, look at low carb options, eg cheese, (boiled) eggs, olives etc. Even tinned fish. That will keep your blood glucose and insulin steady, as well as spreading your protein more evenly across your day.

today was a badly planned day meal wise i had ran out of eggs at home as i would normally have that with chunk of cheese and then plain greek yoghurt with mixed seeds but due to work commitments i could not get anything else need to plan better not sure if us blokes can do that lol

Yeah, agree - it looks nice, but too much fish/cheese and not enough veg. I think I would have added at least a big handful of watercress or rocket - I can recommend keeping one of those bags of supermarket salad leaves on hand at all times. And a dressing wouldn't go amiss!

One piece of fish would have been fine (or even no fish at all).

If you add loads of (non-starchy) veg, you'll find that the portions pretty much take care of themselves. Don't worry, you're 90% there already; you'll get the hang of it quickly enough.

Thanks for that, Will cook the fish and put one in fridge next time round for later and stock up on leaves.

Other thing i had issue with was the avocado, i have to use a full one as every time i use half and try and save it for next day it goes black just dont know how to stop it turning.

I did have a drizzle of balsamic vinegar on there after i took the photo.
