Hi, I've just started trying keto. I'm on week 2. I lost 6lb in the 1st week. I am trying keto as I am female 58yrs of ages 5ft 2in short and 18st. ( well I was last week). At the moment I'm bumbling along. Always looking for keto alternatives to every day food so that I don't get board. Please feel free to say hello. All help / ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have been doing LCHF for about 5 weeks, not explicitly trying to be keto and not peeing on any sticks, so who knows.

But getting fat adapted and losing weight.

Congratulations on your amazing WeightLoss last week.

I am also on week 2 and lost 7lbs last week - can't believe it. How are you feeling this week? Have you managed to find some nice meals? I think I am doing well but the scales will show on Sunday.

Don't know about you but I am really enjoying all the cream and cheese. Yesterday I felt I needed a change of taste so I cut up some celery and spread peanut butter in the centre. God it was lovely. Carry on the good work and if you have any tips please let me know.

I recently remembered how much I love celery with cream cheese in the middle, I also buy thinly sliced roast beef from the deli counter and spread cream cheese in that and roll it up, and for lunch top the celery and cream cheese with smoked salmon.... Delicious

Hi Rosered! I’ve been doing very low carb since the start of Jan - not sure it quite counts as keto as I’ve been eating more than 20g carbs a fat but I did get Ketosis readings from the sticks I weed on, so who knows. A favourite supper of mine is roast butternut squash (chopped in half bung in hot oven 200c for an hour) topped with pesto and feta, or blue cheese, or Camembert.

Stop press - a bit of better research suggests that butternut squash is NOT especially low carb. So ignore that.

I’ve lost weight on a low carb diet..I’ve lost around 4 stone in 7 months and always found dieting difficult before so it’s worked for me.

I seem to have slowed down a lot on the weight loss thing now, I only really have around a stone to lose .its slowed down quite a bit ..I’ve found low carb diet great. I love cheese and all the things you can eat on it..

Chicken is my favourite 😊

There are lots of recipes on line, YouTube, Instagram etc. A lot of the stuff is American supplements etc. I've managed to buy 2 books one in the works and one in Asda's. (Uk)both have been helpful
