I think I've hit keto flu

I have been feeling unwell since Saturday, feeling queasy a lot, my Gord has been acting up which it only usually does if I've forgotten to take my meds for a few days, I have a headache most of the time, and just feel a bit good for nothing. I think it must be keto flu since it is unusual for me to be unwell. I have been a LOT more active recently, thereby making more demands on my body and energy demands so maybe this is why. I suppose it's possible that while I was in lockdown laziness I was just burning up what I ate?

I guess it's a good sign but I hope it passes soon!

I've haven't heard of keto flu upsetting the stomach, but I am not an expert.

Fingers crossed 🤞 it passes quickly.

Nausea is a symptom apparently.

I think electrolytes might help...will try that

They say that keto flu is only electrolytes. I doubt that, but that could be a factor.

Check for Covid? It can give tummy symptoms.

Yes I was going to say this but did t want to scare.. I had nausea for quite a few days, aching bones and then a terrible fever. This was just before LCHF though. (I tested negative but don’t believe it haha)!

I have gastritis and esophagitis and have to take meds. They say no fat coffee etc. Maybe its is the diet that isnt suitable for your stomach. Good luck

I did cook a few times with coconut oil so wondered if that was the trigger, I have been totally fine with the dairy fats for a month now.

Oo that’s interesting. I’ve not tried coconut oil yet as I’m just not used to it. Oi loves me butterrr 😆

Hi LondonSue I felt a bit nauseous and had diarrhoea when I first started I think that was my body adjusting to the (too) large amounts of fat I was eating. Although I’m still eating about 70% fats and 5% carbs my stomach has settled down now and I’ve (slightly) reduced my fat intake naturally.

Not sure if it’s keto flu- this was quite a different separate thing for me. Hope you feel better soo.
