This is a VERY interesting video to gentlemen of a certain age concerning enlarging of the prostate.
Previous to watching this my take was a shrug of the shoulders in that it's 'something that comes to men with age. I'd gone as far as I could in researching the condition and came up against 'testosterone and dihydrotestosterone' leaving it at that - it's a hormone thing right? I should have known better, in that every effect has a cause and that in all the animal kingdom only men and domesticated dogs suffer from the condition of BHP (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia).
See where this is going? It is of course hormonally driven, but it's the insulin stupid!
Bit of a wake up call here, but yet another reason to adopt and maintain a low carbohydrate lifestyle.
Finally got around to watching this. I like Ken Berry.
Can't help wondering how much of the NHS workload is a direct result of bad diet, and therefore how many squillions of pounds are squandered on completely unnecessary medical interventions. If the BDA were billed for all the economic fallout they've caused (not to mention all the human suffering) they might think twice about handing out made-up nonsense in their advice sheets.
