If your child or young person is having pain or discomfort with their feet, they may need to see a Podiatrist.

A Podiatrist will diagnose and treat problems that may affect your child’s feet and ankles.

Hello, my daughter has foot ankle and knee pain. I was wondering if we can request a referral to a podiatrist on nhs locally or if it has to go through the rheumi consultant?

Thanks

P.S if anyone wants to know the answer to the original podiatry question, the answer for us was getting a gp referral as different specialists have different views on podiatry and our rheumi team thought it was unnecessary but our physio therapist who specialises in hyper mobility thought it essential. We are on the waiting list...
