I haven't been absorbing vitamins D or B so I am now on steroids and vitamin D. Has anyone else come across this problem? It's like Addison's disease but isn't!

I dont know if this is of any help,I have a vitamin d deficiencey and take prescription dekristol,precribed by my rheumotologist. they are 20,000 mg taken once a week. My daughter is under birmingham childrens hospital re low platelet count,which goes up and down and she bruises a lot. initially she had folate defiencey,which hasnt been mentioned since,It seems ok now.dont know if this helps,now my daughter is going blue a lot,think she needs to see a rheumatologist,as her sister had raynaulds ,we have had lots of health problems in our family,,I have ehler danlos.heard on this site people have much lower counts than my daughter,so dont know ,she does have low count,lots of big ugly bruising,allergies,tummy probs,biomechanical.. yet lowest is 40,highest is 112,not as bad as so many on here who have to have treatment,she is just restricted,cant see what can be done for her.

Hi, Prednisolone has stopped my adrenal glands from working too. I was on 15mg for Polymialgia but when I tried to reduce below 10 my symptoms returned and complete fatigue set in. I also had shingles (I worked in a school) after about 3 months which was really painful. I'm now down to 3mg but can't get below and feel totally exhausted.

Only just found this site and feel it's more for ITP. Am I allowed to stay?
