MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE

I was delighted and honoured that a short poem that I wrote about living with my rare condition ITP was included in the Genetic Alliance Anthology for Rare Disease Day 2025.

I am very grateful that my condition is completely managed and humbled by so many brave warriors who are living with some very difficult and often life limiting and threatening illnesses.

I am indeed in Rare company and share the Anthology of work with some incredibly inspiring people.

My hat is well and truly tipped to all of them.

They are inspiring and dedicated advocates for Rare conditions that so many people know little or nothing about.

A picnic it is absolutely NOT.

I hope that my little verse strikes a chord or two with people.

Just as a Heads Up my contribution is on Page Five entitled -

It's not Keats, Shelley or Wordsworth,

But just me and my ITP !
