hi all, I have recently been diagnosed with thrombocytopenia. I am in the process of buying my first flat and am being rejected for life insurance left right and centre because it was only diagnosed in May. Does anyone have any recommendations for an insurer who may cover me, especially in the context of the recent diagnosis?
My case is not that severe if it makes any difference. Thanks!

I was in a similar situation a few years ago when I was applying for life insurance for my first home and sadly I’d had a bad relapse just a few months before.
I even went through a broker and still really struggled - LV did consider my application but sadly my GP did a terrible job of filling in my medical report and so they rejected me off the basis of that report and told me to apply again in the future.
The only life insurance I was able to apply for was with ESMI Ltd (I still have the policy as I’m in the process of trying to look again soon but I have death in service cover that takes off some pressure for now) - the only downside is they don’t cover for pre-existing conditions but my thought process was some cover is better than no cover for my loved ones.
Sorry if this isn’t the answer you were hoping for - but I hope it is of some help to you as you go forward - good luck with the whole process though it is still an exciting time so don’t let this bump in the road take anything away from the experience
