how do you know when your medication is working

husband has Itp he’s tried elthromobag and they didn’t work so now is on the injection.

It’s been up and down for weeks and now for the last 4 he’s been on 150mg per week.

The last 2 weeks the platelets have gone up very slightly does this mean it’s finally working?
