Dental procedures - implants / dentures

I have been diagnosed with ITP for at least 21 years. I raised three kids who the youngest is now 18. I gave birth with very little platelet counts. However; I made it through each birth with success. I'm not on any regular meds the prednisone totally did not work and so many side effects and physical appearances are horrible. My concern is my teeth, the prednisone destroyed my teeth an a dentist will not see me & besides the strong dental meds literally make me sick. I have front tooth that needs to be replaced and I don't know how to get this fixed since dentures & implants require dental surgery. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how to get responses to questions, I'm new to this site. But, I'm hopeful to get an answer. Thank you.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to talk to your haematologist about possible alternative medication?

I am on dexamethasone which is a stronger version of prednisone; 5mg every 10-14 days. It works for me. I also had dental surgery and took transemic acid (if that's the right spelling; can't find my phial) just in case of excessive bleeding. Didn't need it. Can your dentist snd ot haematologist recommend any aproach, i.e. false teeth or the new magnetic false teeth although both would require surgery.

I have had ITP for 19 years. I had six implants down five years ago and so far no problems. Just have to get the O.K. from your hematologists.

My Hermertology give me 4 time of Rituxan ( weekly) in Sep 2016 because I need to go under lung surgery in Nov. 2016. It took about 3 weeks to bring my platelets up to 190,000. It stay between 45,000 to 190,000 for 4 years without any other treatment for me. I am really happy for this treatment and no side effect.
