Has anyone tried Papaya Leaf extract supplements known to boost platelets count? Please advise.

I had spontaneous bruises with no reason from last 1 month and have lately being diagnosed with low platelet count of 14 and doctors assume it to be a case of ITP. Currently on Prednisolone 60mg daily suggested for 2 weeks which managed to bring my platelets to 35. I am really worried on diagnosis front - do I really suffering from ITP??

I tried the papaya leaf extract and it did not help me. However, my ITP is caused by an autoimmune disease. I have read many articles where it did help people. It probably depends on the etiology of the ITP, the cause of the ITP. I saw a hematologist and they had to rule out everything else before coming to the conclusion that my low platelets were from my SLE. Hope that helps.

I tried, didn't help much.

However, Ayakanthana Chenduram, an Indian Ayurvedic medicine cured my ITP forever.

This is the URL i used : indiamart.com/jayaindian-me...

I swear by papaya leaf juice and try to take it on a daily basis. (It is very expensive for Canadians and I occasionally run out .) Whenever I have large (and small) bruises it seems to clear them up much more quickly than when I don't/can't take it. I have taken it in greater amounts recently and it seems to be working. My platelets went from 19 to 55 in spite of Christmas indulgences.

We have papaya leaves tablets for ITP patients and can also send fresh leaves of papaya

I use alcohol free papaya leaf extract. There seems to have been a correlation to how much / consistently I take it and how stable my platelet count is. One month I stopped and they went from 90 to 50 then I started and back up to 109. I kept forgetting twice a day doses during a holidayand they crashed to 19. It increases the platelet production, so doesn’t help with the autoimmune side, but for me seems to help compensate.
