I was diagnosed in July 2017 platelets at 0 back to 120 and then a month later down to 60 and then steroids and I they have not gone below 140 since then. Is it common for it to stay stable, I get nervous every time I see a bruise just curious how often some of you see your numbers drop

Hello!

I was diagnosed when I was about 7 & i’m 17 now, my platelets have fluctuated, but recently have been stable around 40-50. I’ve been through multiple steroids, to bone marrow biopsy’s, to chemotherapy drugs (to test it outings a low dose bc it’s a lot stronger & is suppose to have an adverse affect). yours should definitely find a stable point, it’s not uncommon to fluctuate especially with meds. don’t be nervous if you see a bruise, just make sure they aren’t severe! also, just talk to your doctor, that’s what they’re for & you can learn about from them & how to manage everything!
