Muscle Aches?

Do any of you with ITP, also suffer with muscle pains and is there a name for this? sometimes I really struggle with aches if I have walked far

I don’t know if there’s a name — there are so many things it could be — but I have muscle pains also. I see a physical therapist once a week, and she alleviates but can’t eliminate the pain. At this point, I don’t remember what it’s like not to have pain. It’s hard to explain to people who haven’t experienced it what it’s like to know that the pain will always be there.

Yes, extreme fatigue with joints pain is seen and observed with low platelets.

Yes, me too. Pain in muscles and joints waxes and wanes over time. Series of 3 or 4 days at a time. I must exercise for my health and the endorphins help.

I have restless legs and my hips go often drs also think I have fibromyalgia ontop of everything else

I’ve been on Nplate since 2009, I have increased muscular and skeletal pain when platelet count drops to 10 thousand in addition I have increased fatigue, irritability, bruising and depression. How old are you? What other medical conditions unrelated to ITP do you have? What treatment did you receive? What is your platelet count range? Are you taking Statin drugs as they are know to cause musculoskeletal pain in in 7% to 29%ofstatinusers. Sorry for all the questions, I’m just trying to eliminate other causes for your pain.
