Over the past week or so my joints are bleeding .my hands and knees and ankles are the worst. I have pain in my knees , have had that for sometime but my hands are the worst with big bruises across my knuckles and finger joints . I have had ITP for 4 years and this is a new one for me. Does anyone else suffer from this?

Hi sorry to hear this. My son has itp and often complains of aching knees and has big bruises on them. Doctors seem reluctant to admit there's any connection but I think there is.

That sounds terrible! I haven't read about that symptom before. Please let us know what you find out.

I have horrible back pain and migraines, which I’m sure are from fluid, if not whole blood, leaking in my CNS. True, no one admits the links, but prednisone helps them all.

Good luck. I can only hope we all benefit from further research.

Thinking of you, hope you find a way to reduce the bleeding.

When platelets are really low the pain in my knees gets unbearable. It started about a year and after I was diagnosed with ITP
