Renovade
Do you mean Revolade, Elthrombopag?
Did you mean Revolade, as I can't find any info re Renovade?
Lol yes
Hello Bruiser 2017 yes I mean Revolade : ))
Thank you for the reply Bruiser 2017 I just wondered if it would help with my fatigue onwards and upwards we will get there : ) do you suffer with fatigue painful joints need medication for all of it : )
I'm a new boy to this platelet problem - diagnosed Jan this year, but from what I read elsewhere and from my limited experience, fatigue appears to be a common theme and seems to persist whatever meds are prescribed.
I am lucky that I can work from home, but I find that most days now I have to have a nap for at least an hour most afternoons.
Other problems - get pains in my right hip and back, not constant, but fairly regular, only analgesics ITPers can have is paracetamol. Did put hip pain down to bone marrow biopsy, but that was months ago so discounted. Last CT scans showed a soft tissue around left kidney and waiting for specialist MRI. But whether any of those problems are down to ITP is moot, it could be that I'm just getting older:-))
Hi. I was prescribed Revolade about 10 weeks ago after an 18 month period of counts frequently dropping to single figures accompanied by fatigue and bleeding symptoms. I tried prednisilone, rituximab, MMF and azathioprine. they all failed. IVIG helped but only for a few days. However the Revolade has been completely transformative. My counts have improved dramatically, I have no bleeding or bruising symptoms, no side effects and I am full of energy. If you get the chance I would definitely recommend that you try it.
Prudencepayes ,thank you will give it a go if offered again how often do you take this medication ???
I take 1 tablet a day before I go to bed. You have to take it at least 4 hours after having any dairy so I avoid cheese/milk/cream etc during that period. There have been a couple of times when I've slipped up and on those days I just took the tablet to bed and took it when I woke in the night. My haematologist said to make an effort but not panic if I made a mistake. Some people prefer to take it 1st thing in the morning and avoid dairy at breakfast.
I believe it's called Revolade. I was on it for a short while abruptly taken off as it caused blood clots in my leg liver and lungs... proceed cautiously all the best..
Yes I believe it is called that ... I will be cautious as I take lipstatin for high cholesterol .. Thank you so much I will tell my consultant no no : ))
