Question!
i have had Rituximab and my hair didn`all out. It could be some other product that may be causing this. God Bless
My hair didn't fall out when I was given Rituximab.
Good luck with it and I hope that it works for you.
I had a 4-week treatment of Rituximab last September and I have experienced some hairfall. Lots of strands (much more than usual) fall out each time I comb, even now. And my hair has thinned out.
Of course, it could be completely unrelated to rituximab but it has made me sit up and take notice...
All the best. Take care.
My hair started thinning about the time I was taking Rituxan, but it might have been from the stress. My mother sent me some hair, skin, and nails supplements and I have to say they have really helped. I've tried a few different brands — I do like what's on sale! — and they have all worked equally well. I will say that it is not just on my head that I have noticed a difference. I have to shave my legs more often too : ).

not for me.....
Hello Deniss,
I had Rituximab in 2013, and I had nearly 10 months remission. The only side effects I felt was while I was being given the infusion: I had itchiness all over the body, dried mouth and very high blood pressure..The medic stopped the infusion and a couple of hours later on they resumed with a much slower drip. Like you I was very anxious before the whole thing as I had read some not so goog thing about Rituximab before.

I had a course of Rituximab about a year ago, no problem with my hair at the time but recently its got brittle and I'm losing a few strands quite often, it may not be related but thought I'd mention it. The only real problems I'm having are constant illnesses and infections which I put down to the immune system being so low and plan to speak to my consultant about it next time I see him
Hi, deciding to take rituximab was really difficult at the time, roughly 2 yrs ago, and only the guys on this site could give the advice I needed to make the decision. I did have the reaction on the first infusion but the nurses soon sorted that out for me, the other 3 infusions didn't cause any problems. Unfortunately, rituximab did not work for me, only raising platelets to about 40 before dropping off again, so I did not have any other courses. I can only say, try it, there is a fairly good chance of it working. I know the listed side effects are scary, and that was my worry, but the nurses keep a watch on you and the extra blood tests also help to monitor you.
PS I didn't have much hair in the first place, but I still have it, none fell out during or after treatment.
I too was on this medication with no side effects. It could be something else that is causing the problem. Dont worry too much l am sure you will be just fine.
