Hi everyone,

My Doc has put me on Tranexamic acid 500mg thrice daily. Presently no bleeding but can sense blood running through bones. Can someone suggest other treatment options

Several different things didn't work for me but have worked for others. Alot of trial error. Predizone then IVG next went to rituxan because those didnt work. Rituxan works for 60 percent of people I was told by my dr didn't work for me. NPLATE is what I been on and it works keeps my platelets in a good place. The more I get the shot the linger it lasts in my body. I have had ITP for 11 months. I get a nosebleed and bruising if my numbers get 12000 or lower. Nsaids is what I think caused this because of arthritis I was taking high doses. So don't take them now but still have ITP.

Dexamethasone pulse method is sometimes used and had used for me to see if it will reset my blood system. Also methylprednisolone is used and as well as solymedril is used variously. Rituximab been good in terms of resetting itp. Hospital do not want to use it til they use previously mentioned drugs. Also if all fail they will try chemotherapy and eltrombopag and nplate eventually. I have gone thru all those method and finally something worked we believe it was eltrombopag but even science couldn't tell which one to be exact.
