I am experiencing terrible join pain though now dose is reduced to 5mg alternate days still..along with bad insomia..don't know if this is happening due to tapering or steroid treatment..Is that chance that pain will go away once I completely stop the predisolone

Yes aching in the joints is a side effect of the steroid. I had terrible aches and pains in my ankles, knees, hips, back, and elbows. Generally the sides effects of the steroid usually wear off after about 3 months after you stop taking them. But like most things ITP each individual gets a slightly different experience. Also do get checked out by your specialist if it is especially difficult or bad, whilst it sounds like it could be the steroid, it may of course be something else like arthritis for example (which is also an auto immune illness by the way).
