fatigue most of the time, trying some alternatives like more paleo foods and vitamins, mostly though I feel like people don't relate and think I am whiny.

fatigue
I can relate to you dede7 .... warmer weather I had more energy and now it is decreasing; I know I have to push myself; been trying to stick to exercise but too tired to get there; also eating better too; but I am tired a lot.
Have you had your Vit D levels tested? Mine were really low this year which had a massive effect on my fatigue.
Hi try folic acid, aloe Vera tablets, Omega 3 fish oils and papaya extract tablets as well as a multi vitamin
Try b12, it did wonders on my fatigue.
Thanks yes i am taking a daily supplement
get the injection type, i function well at work with so much energy. so far i only needed it twice or four times a month and not sure if any relation but my platelets is steady between the range of 50-70, no more treatments but got arthritis as a side effects from the drugs (steroids). now i have to brace for the pain the winter season will bring. i try to avoid taking medications as they either has side effects or they cause cancer. so look at it this way, better this than something worst. good luck to you. each one has different experiences but don't be afraid, don't stress yourself... it's controllable, just understand your illness so you learn how to manage it.
Thanks I will follow up on that definitely I have an appointment with my provider next week and see a rheumatologist this week is arthritis party of your itp!?
not part but it was from the long term used of prednisone to treat itp. just be careful what medication you take because you may get something worst than itp. i just gave up on medications when i almost lost my legs due to side effects. even when i am in pain, i don't even take Tylenol anymore. i was told not to eat or drink that has blood thinners. this is not to bring up your platelets but it will help you clot when you suffered cuts or injury. your goal is to prevent hemorrhage or internal bleeding since that will be your worst case scenario if you have low platelets. eat lots of green leafy vegetables unless you have clotting issue. i was also told that you can do any activity so long your feet is on the ground and always think of safety. well, i can't really follow that rule but i do choose what type of adventures/exploration i will do to enjoy life instead of worrying about my itp. i just recently experienced atv and horseback riding at a campground. take it easy, the more you are stress the more you trigger your auto-immune.
Yes I think that is totally true about stress being dojng some yoga but really need to do more
Thanks!
Are you able to work full-time? I'm finding getting really tired after working a full week
yes, i have so much energy with b12. i'm working ft but i do try to take a 1-3 days each month to rest coinciding it with doc appts or blood tests. i schedule my doc appts in the morning so i have the rest of the day to myself while husband at work & kids at school/after school program. my doc is just on top of it and practices alternative before using medicines even for minor illness like flu. believe me, i had to change doctors several times before i found this one. he is internal medicine doc but he explained it better to me than my hematologists. good luck
Everyone on this site has the right to whine or get depressed or anything for that matter. I saw the paleo foods diet I tried one and it was not too bad. I hope you are doing better. I have not been on here for very long just found out that I have ITP after not allowing my doctor to just sluff off my symptoms. I am glad I kept on harping about how I felt. I have found out that on this site there are so many people with the same disease and yet not one has the same reaction.... so therefore there is not such thing as whinning.
