I have been on DLA for past 2 years, the payment was coming to an end & they sent me a new application form for DLA not PIP which was supposed to replace DLA. I got my social worker to help me fill in the form & it has just been accepted for another 2 years.

Hi, my wife has had ITP and fibromyralgia now for 3 years, also a stay at home mother of two, I was wondering how you were successful? I only ask because I have been trying to research this because I am having to take more and more time off work to look after her when her platelets drop to as low

as 1 and she has to go into hospital or as is the most recent case has a reaction to new medication that hospitalised her for a week and only now after 3 weeks is manageable to the point where she is well enough to have the energy to look after the kids albeit as an ITP sufferer still lethargic. Any help and advice would be appreciated because this is causing a strain on my employment an if DLA carers has been successful then it would be great to know how. Thanks
