I was recently diagnosed with PCOS after TTC for 2.5 years. Was diagnosed with Idiopathic inter cranial hypertension in 2015 & never really believed that what’s I had as I have had previous history of menstrual migraines and periods being irregular. Previous to this from going on birth control my I gained about 4 stone in weight which Iv only been about to shift about 1 stone off with great difficulty of a healthy diet and exercising twice a day 4 times a week. It’s been a constant battle - weight 17.5stone & height of 5’10 my bmi shows I’m obese and always put off going to the doctors as I felt my fertility problems would be down to my weight and being already frustrated with my weight I didn’t want to listen to it so battled on ttc.
Cut a long story short after visiting a skin clinic about acne the girl thought with my history of irregular periods etc she thought I may have PCOS - immediately went to doctor who sent me & my husband for all sorts of tests and finally I have been diagnosed. Any advice & support would be very helpful.
Thank you

Firstly, I'm sorry you found yourself here, hun! Welcome, I'm here if you want to let off steam. I'm not in the same boat with you. I have endo. But here is a support group for pcos sufferers. The first thing to do is to do more researches on pcos issues, symptoms, methods of treatments, is it mild or severe, and what can be done over each case. You may also try some natural improvements like balanced dieting, supplements, vitamins, relaxation techniques, accupuncture, active rest. Anyway it won't do harm. Then let me ask you, what were your dr's suggestions?
Here's my story in brief. We've been together with dh for 10 years. 2 years of which spent ttc. After we got no results we applied for a fertility expert's help. Soon I was diagnosed on severe endo. In haste we did try IUI, ICSI shots, despite dh's semen low count and motility. But it didn't work, as later we got to know my eggs were useless for the procedures. So we went on egg donation route with overseas clinic. We got our baby after shot#3.
Cases differ much and I'm praying this path will be much more smoother and faster for you. All you need is to find a really good expert who'll advise you things for your particular case.
Hi, honey! I'm afaraid I haven't got some special advice for you. Our cases are too much different. I'm sorry for PCOS issues you're facing. I wonder what were your dr's conclusions. What did he recommend you? I know how hard extra lbs are to get rid off. You'll need more time and patience with it. I'm hoping things will go right for you. Sending you huge supportive hugs x
