update on my sister

so my sister was put in the ER yesterday after aspirating. apparently, when the ICU released her to the rehab, the rehab quit giving her breathing treatments and took her off the Ativan and the nicotine patch , she had only been out of the coma for a few days. It turns out that the icu should have sent her to the pcu. Had we known that rehab was stopping everything, we would have told them how important the breathing treatments were. The er found that she had 6 bruised ribs and an infection, her breathing is under control now and SHE IS EATING!!!! I had asked the nurses to please check her for a UTI infection and they didn’t. I also asked if they could do a chest x-ray because she was grimacing and they said that was just part of her recovery. My advice is: if you notice something insist that they check because a week later the er found she did have six fractured ribs and she has an infection!
