Just wanting to recommend listening to Kali Dayton’s podcast ‘Walking Home From The ICU’…..it helped me so much during my rehabilitation…..especially facing the reality, the trauma experience. Iv cried, Iv laughed, Iv taken strength from it. She has also started a ‘Walking you through the ICU’ podcast for families of loved ones in the ICU.

I’m 7/12 since discharge and haven’t stopped moving yet. Some days are better, some days are worse. My heart & lungs still don’t feel like their own self and I’m going to have a trial with MART therapy / daily, low dose steroid inhaler during further rehabilitation.

The NHS saved me, but didn’t help me regain my quality of life.

I’m a physio myself and I have made it my mission to support other post ICU patients / longterm hospital patients / Covid patients with their rehabilitation back to (a new kind) quality of life.

It’s been a life changing experience. I feel grateful that I am alive and be able to push my body and mind into rehabilitation.

Movement really is as important as medicine.

And my crazy hair is slowly coming back, yay 🤗

Yes I agree with what you said about lack of rehabilitation support and it’s an issue we recently highlighted in the ICS Patients Relatives and Public Advisory Group to the All Party Parliamentary Group APPG on rehabilitation from intensive care. Really pleased to see your hair growth. That’s fabulous progress.
