What is Covid brain? My friend has suffered from Covid pneumonia and been off sedation drugs for 4 full days, he’s not awake yet?

They want him to start trying to use his lungs and have his brain connect to that! But they say he has Covid brain?

I’m sorry I’ve never heard of it but critical illness can cause extensive cognitive & neurological issues, cognitive dysfunction is a common outcome for many of us.

I am not familiar with Covid complications but like Sepsur I can can advise on critical illness. When someone has been poorly in ICU it can take time for the sedation drugs to wear off. In my brothers case it was a full month before he came around after being critically ill and sedated on a ventilator.
