Being proned

Is it normal that my dad is still being proned at over 3 weeks in ICU? really struggling to speak to the docs. Nurses speak everyday but as they said this evening you really need a chat with the doc, they've requested it a few times but still been nearly a week and haven't received a call.

I was proned upto week 7. The nurses are right, the consultants will be the best people to update you

I would suggest that you keep ringing the hospital and asking to speak to a doctor. The doctors were always pretty bad at remembering to phone me when I requested it so I tended to ring every few hours until I managed to get hold of them!

If you are in the U.K. and need some help to get the information you need then contact PALS. They will add weight to your request. You can find your local PALS at nhs.uk/nhs-services/hospita...

Thanks for the response, my dad's turned a corner he's remained on his back for 2 days on around 40%-45%. I spoke with the doctors they are hoping for him to get over this chest infection then hoping for some improvement.
