I believe it been in the UK since at least October 2019 and killed many eldery people well before we knew about it.

Anyone on here think they had the coronavirus last year here in the uk
David Brown, a retired molecular virologist worked on coronaviruses for 20 years.
His wife got pneumonia over Christmas, with an appalling cough and loss of taste and smell.
He thinks she and many others probably had another coronavirus, OC43, which can also cause respiratory problems.
"OC43 can be really severe. It can cause recurring infections in your lifetime like other coronaviruses. There's no surveillance of it, and it's impossible to go back and check," he says. It’s impossible to say as there are so many coronaviruses.
I disagree if the NHS would realise the figures of the eldery that died in within the months of October, Novemeber and Decemeber 2019 it we would be much higher then any other year on record.
COVID-19 is way more deadly then any other coronavirus that ever existed
For over 75’s there was lower mortality rates from pneumonia and other respiratory diseases October - December 2019 compared to 2018. In addition, SARS was significantly more deadly than COVID-19 but just did not spread as easily
The NHS would need to realise the figures to prove that and i doubt they ever will, if we could go back to that time and do covid tests on those in hospital during those months the results would no doubt be huge that were unfortunately affected with COVID-19. I believe the first wave came around October but as it really only affected the eldery went unrecoginised until the second wave made headlines in February, March time.
