My 18 year old daughter was in a medically induced coma for 3 weeks. She was 122lbs on day 1 and by day 21 she weighed 213lbs.

I don’t know if weight gain is normal because I, in the end, lost a considerable amount of weight. My wife tells me that there was a period of time where I blew up like a balloon, This was down to water retention because my kidneys had failed. The physical signs of water retention include swollen ankles and unexplained weight gain over a short period of time. Also, rings may not fit anymore and the stomach may feel/look swollen.
