Well my daughter went to a sepsis presentation last night and is so glad she went. The lady who presented it was disgusted at the duty of care my grandson has. She has advised her and is helping her investigate the negligence he suffered and no after care or support and is going ahead with a making a complaint about his GP. You wouldn't actually believe what happened it is very shocking. You wouldn't believe how the medical professionals have treated him and my daughter.

I'm really pleased your daughter has some support now, but really sorry it was lacking previously. Was his care in ICU good? It appears the NHS is often outstanding in Critical Care but then falls down. Maybe in this case that's because Sepsis doesn't fall into any specialty. I would have hoped he would get good paediatric follow up but seemingly that hasn't been your experience. We have to wait 3 weeks for a GP appt so I understand there probably isn't support there either. I wish you all well. Look after yourself!
Luckily he wasn't in ICU thank God. He had a week of antibiotics every day at the hospital. He had no paediatric follow up only discharged. He has had two dermatologist appointments. My daughter and grandson have had no support, basically told to get on with it, his hair loss is only cosmetic. They won't investigate why this has happened said hes too young.
Hi I would believe you I want through the same icu excellent but ward didn’t have a clue I’m 8 months in to legal proceedings it’s not about the money I’ll give it to charity it was one doctor who didn’t give a hoot and ward staff thought I was bonkers didn’t know anything bout icu delirium
