What’s the recovery time before I can return to work following a fall and fracture to my t10 verterbrea. It’s been three weeks and although the pain is manageable with Codrydomol I’m not confident with the 40 minute drive to work and 7 hours sitting at my desk.
Any advice would be appreciated

I haven’t had physio as yet and only a telephone appointment with the doctor . I think she is happy for me to stay off work for as long as I need but just wondered if there was a typical timeline of recovery. I seem to be fine when resting and think I will be ok to work , but then I do something like have a shower and wash my hair and I am shattered with knife like pain in my back. When I try to get info online it mostly mentions Osteoporosis and although I am 62 my injury was from a bad fall with very hard impact to my back🤦♀️
I think the physio might be your best guide. I understand it's frustrating not have a timeline. My OH is off sick after time in ICU. Difficult to gauge when he will be ready to return to work. Physio happening this week. It's important to be well enough to return or you might find yourself off sick again. I wish you well.
This forum is for people who have experience critical care - your post doesn’t mention this. Health Unlocked has many different forums - you may find one of these would be more appropriate. Best of luck with your recovery - it’s always better to take advice from the health care professionals - none of us are professional enough to advise at a distance. - There are charities like spinal.co.uk/ which would be more appropriate- I’m sure
I joined this forum previously due to my brother being in icu and am happy to say he is now on the road to recovery after a very scary time when we thought we would lose him.
I do not have a spinal cord injury, TG just a fractured verterbrea and I cannot find any forums where I can get advice, so thought I would ask on here
