I know anything is possible after sepsis. I had it last November, needed iv meds to increase my bp in hdu, source found and treated. Left the hospital with my life intact but mentally and cognitively scarred. However a nerve pain i'd had before came back with a vengeance and a few days ago I woke up with a neuropathic pain in my right arm and numbness in that area. No repetitive actions, heavy lifting the day prior.
Anyone else have anything like this happen after sepsis?

I have neuropathy, I was told to use vicks vapour rub everywhere that I have neuropathic pain. This has helped my pain more than all the medications I was taking and there’s no side effects.
This is an interesting one tessa, I've only ever associated vicks with bronchial problems. I've had peripheral neuropathy treated with pregabalin for quite a few years now and haven't had any noticeable side effects, but neither am I completely sure how well it works since I still have symptoms. Everything boils down to what works for you, but I wonder what effect vicks has on damaged nerves?
It’s the menthol, that’s why vicks vapour rub worked better, than other brands, as it has a higher menthol content. I didn’t believe it at first, but I was in so much pain that at that point I’d try anything. I even tried CBD oil which didn’t work for me. So I tried vicks and it worked. I went from literally screaming in pain to being relatively pain free.
Hi Elric. My Mom had two bouts of septic shock. The antibiotics and the sepsis has left her with terrible neuropathy and tendonopathy and neuralgia that travels around her body. We are in Canada and have recently started her on medical marijuana oils and vaping. It has helped her quite a bit.
I have neuropathic problems for many years. Started as pain but has improved and now mostly numbness. I will try the Vick’s interesting idea. For me staying active and exercising regularly decreases the numbness. It’s generally worse when I wake in the morning or sit all day at work.
thanks for sharing AMB. If it's bad capsaicin cream is good but it's prescription-only.
So I've never had speaks but have meralgia same as you I've had arm pain past year to to I'm thinking its connected to that cause I feel the tingly numbness in my back low spine area and meralgia pains bad when been in bed laying on back I wake up with arm tingles and numbness everynight
