Sending you this good news about Helen condition from her bedside.
Just before 3pm today Helen opened her eyes for the first time since she fell 30 ft over a balcony in a public place a fortnight ago today.
Helen was in an induced coma for the first week following the fall and doctors were in the middle/process of weaning her of the life support machine, when she opened her eyes this afternoon because 2 days ago today she started to breathe unassisted without the life support machine .
Helen is now off life support and awake but has not said anything yet.
We will keep you all updated on Helen's condition.
Ben, family friend Lauren and girlfriend Hayley.

That sounds very positive - all of your experience together over Helen’s fall has sounded horrendous. I hope things improve for you. In time you may all find you need extra help to get over this, there are so many agencies out there but can be hard to find initially- best wishes moving forward.
What marvellous news for you all. It takes time to get back to speaking and trusting folk. Keep chatting to her and explain why she is there. Be patient, it could take a while!!
