So my grandma is in the hospital because her liver and kidney are both failing, but she is still showing signs that she is going to fight through what she is going through . She was originally hospitalized for pneumonia and all of a sudden things went south :,( . Can anyone tell me if she will survive?

Have her checked for sepsis. Also see if they can start dialysis. The liver and kidney work together. She may have acute renal failure and may have an ishemic liver (or liver that's not getting a good blood supply.) Is she urinating well. What's her Creatinine, BUN level, INR and PTT

No that's the problem shes only producing a little bit of urine every few days . I have no idea about the other information but I'm trying to find out. Can they put her on dialysis while in an induced coma ?

Her BUN is possibly high. So long as her blood is toxic, she will have a foggy brain (or comatose state). They can do dialysis so long as her INR is 1.5 and below, her platelets are 50,000 or greater. My mother was like that before she passed away. The docs refused to give her dialysis. But ask from Albumin and a diuretic. That helps.

i don't know the exact reason why , but she's had a drinking problem for a while so I think that's one of the reasons . And she's been in the ICU for almost 2 weeks now

Yes she's on a ventilator, but no she's not on dialysis yet because she's in an induced coma . If she's get dyalisis will her lover get better cause she has sorosis as well ?
