I am not sure what banner to put this. I have had tender fingertips for some time now. But more so on my right hand if I touch anything I am left with dents in the ends of my fingers. These dents can take some time to recover? Any Idea what is causing this?

Tender Finger tips that leave dents?
Hello Offcut,my husband spent 3 plus wks in CCU,and the skin from his hands and feet sloughed off in huge chunks,as if they had been massive blisters,so maybe,it is a reaction to one of the many drugs used ?Maybe a referral to a dermatologist ,to try to "sort it out ".Keep well .
Hi Offcut,
I have numbness and tenderness in both hands in my little and ring fingers, I had to have nerve conductive tests and 2 operations to decompress the ulnar nerve in my elbows which had become trapped, I was told it could have been to using a zimmer frame to get around after spending 3 months in ICU. 3 years on slightly better but my left hand is now smaller than my right hand and I have Walternberg syndrome in both hands, a small price to pay for a second chance of life.
Interesting point there I do have pain in my back, neck, shoulders, Elbows as well and my to outside fingers have habits of going numb with pins and needles. I ended up with 3 compression fractures in my spine because the ICU weight loss (3 stone) and these have gone arthritic now.
Hi. Offcut
I have a similar problem, also on the soles of my feet. This was diagnosed as critical illness neuropathy.
Thank you for that info. I looked it up I had most of the problems it mentions in the report I read. I was going into MOF and was on a oscillator for 12 days and ventilator for a further 18 days. It took a very long time to get my hands to work properly.

It fits that the muscle loss would cause the dents and the pain could be the lack of padding making my nerve endings more sensitive?
