I'm so emotional today. This week I've just felt terrible. I'm so dizzy and I'm finding it hard to even look out of my eyes. I just want to sleep. Looki after my family and doing day to Day things is proving difficult. I feel like crying right now. My doctors still say i can't have an appointment till the 1st may. I just want to feel normal

Hi, dizziness is really horrible, I used to suffer from it really badly I was put on betahistine, it's for meunière disease which I haven't got but it has stopped the dizziness maybe worth asking your Gp if you can try it

Good luck, hope you feel better soon

Hi Charlie: Dizziness doesn't come out of thin air. There must be a reason. Dizziness could be any number of reasons from nutrition to a tumor or any vast number of vascular diseases. I'd be real careful now, maybe take a cane to steady yourself till your next GP appointment. Maybe I'd give him a call so it gets documented and he is aware of how long the spells are and the severity of them. It could be a result of seizure or hormonal. I mean reasons for dizziness are endless. Be sure to document them in your journal because that may help you see what triggers it. I'd call my GP now to report this and be sure to discuss it at your next appointment. If it is not to be worried about he'll tell you methodologies of how to control dizziness from a safety point of view.

I found a mental therapist a great help when I first had to accept the multitude of diseases I have. I think you could benefit from one as well. The sooner the better. Remember knowlege is power. When you feel well enough, start to educate yourself on how to be safe during a dizzy spell and how to handle situations brought on by dizziness in public. You really could get hurt.

You, Charli, need to work on a positive mind. I know its hard, it's hard for every single one of us. You will find your mutual patients very generous with their ways of coping with chronic pain. No one can tell you what to expect from this disease or in what time period because, it's all over the map. That's the current problem - that it is so new there is not sufficient research. WE are the research. But we can help each other. And I hope this helps you.

Warm wishes, smiles and prayers,

Hi there, sorry you feel so rough you need to have a chat with your medical team to see if they can fine tune things for you a little, have you had any virus of sorts lately, as sometimes ears can play up, without us realizing it! Just a thought. Mary F x

Hi Charli i'm sorry to hear your feeling so low....the dizzy fuzzy head is the one i cant cope with, you just cant function when in that state.

Can i ask you do you get a feeling of fullness in your ear at the same time all this dizzy biz is going on ?

I hope it passes soon....the gps surgery these days is a waste of time, like you i had to wait weeks for my appointment......when you get there you can only discuss one thing !!!!!

What a joke when so much is going on.....Jillymo X

Before my diagnosis, random dizzy spells would hit me. Then they went away. But as I age I notice that my ears wax has become an issue. I have to use those over-the-counter drops once a week as long as the house furnace is on. A shot in the dark, and probably a random suggestion for, as Canary pointed out, dizziness can have so many causes. But ear drops are cheap and easy enough for me to throw this out there.
