Hi Stacey. I'm on Amitriptyline and it took about 4-6 wks to improve things. I still get headaches at times eg, when I have a virus like I have now. The med depending on the type of headache doesn't always take all the pain away, but does make the headaches more manageable! Give it a few months to start taking its full effect, then if your still having trouble speak to whoever deals with your meds about upping it slightly. Your body does need time to adjust to the med, especially if it makes you drowsy! I found I had to take paracetamol aswell for a while.

Good luck, hope you see some improvement soon x x

I hope you feel better soon, and do keep in touch with your doctor regarding your symptoms and if things get too bad for you. Hoping it makes a difference. I hope your INR is being monitored? Mary F x
