Hi hon,

Yes I do, I have steroids 40/60mg from time to time for chest infections, asthma symptoms and skin infections, when on them I find joint pains, muscle pains etc imrpove and I have more energy, i am currently on very low dose 5mg to try keep skin inflammation under control, sadly not help much with everything else.

Hope this helps.

Take care gentle hugs love Sheena xxxx :-) :-) :-)

THANK YOU So much for this. I KNEW the pred. was covering something. I am having probs. convincing the Dr I have Hugh's Syndrome.

I found even 5mg helped a lot, but now I'm off that I have ALL the symptoms.

Love nd hugs to you too. X

Hello, I have prednisolne as part of my aps treatment (as well as several other meds). Initially it was fantastic, I felt great and all of my symptoms were surpressed. But then after about 6 months they all crept back as well as the side effects of the prednisolne! I still take it every day and I'm sure it does help to some extent but I don't feel fantastic anymore! I have a cocktail of meds so I couldn't say how much it still helps because I can't be certains which ones are doing their job best! Hope this helps

Thank you Louise.

It does help me to hear this from you. I know I felt better on Pred. But wondered if was my imagination.

Take Care.

I take Prednisone to deal with low platlets (ITP).

That is interesting MarvinS. Do you think it helps relieve symptoms of APS?

My only contribution is that years before diagnosis but in the thick of symptoms I was given them for asthma. Wow what a brilliant week I had. Every symptom I had went and I was speeding around and felt sure I actually run.

A GP friend thought it interesting that that happened but did not give it much thought.

I know though.

Thank you Jade.

It's interesting isn't it, why this hasn't been looked into more?

I understand that Steroids are in general, bad for us, but why do they help so much I wonder?

Thank you for this. It makes sense.

Hi I took Prednisolone to boost my platelets (ITP) prior to an operation but it had the opposite effect and sent them to zero so it doesn't work for everyone. Recently been diagnosed with APS, waiting for an infusion - anyone had this?

Not what you're looking for?
