Hi Gary

welcome to the site. Sorry to hear you so exhausted.

Lots of us with other conditions as well as Hughes. I think most of us can understand and empathise with you. I'm not sure about vitamins, health foods, is difficult if you taking meds for lupus, Hughes, sjorgens. I think I would ask Gp or specialist if they can suggest anything that would help.

Sorry cant be more helpful.

Im sure others will be along with more ideas for you.

Glad to meet you. Take care gentle hugs Jessielou xxx :-) :-) :-)

Welcome, the issue of fatigue seems to plague us all. From my own experience, (sgroens, psoriatic arthropathy and Hughes)l, I find that alongside the fatigue just for some extra fun, I am often thrown into cycles of insomnia, however I do persist with a highly nutritious diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, also pulses and beans etc to help keep the right balance with meat and fish, and I pace my daily exercise and physio, ten minutes off and ten minutes on, until I have achieved my hour. I actually find that if I don't do this I am even more tired, however if I have been laid up, I have to build it up again.. I find the quality of rest important rather than the quantity. I also vary my exercise, and in the winter no matter how cold, (ski thermals and hot water bottles),. I make sure I get some outside time. Best of luck M

Hello Gary

I asked a similar question a few weeks back but no one had any real soloutions other than what I have been doing for several years now.

Pace your self I guess is the answer, dont over do things (as you know)

Good luck.

Garry

Hi Gary,

welcome to the group, I think as Garry has said this question has been the bain of all the people with APS lives and how to live with it and sadly there is not quick fix. It is pacing yourself and making sure you listen to what your body is telling you, i know it may not be what you want to hear but sadly ther is not tablet or treatment i have heard off that will cure it. I have heard that being on Blood thinners may help a bit in some cases its really helped and i have heard excerise but i really think it comes down to what your body can cope with.

Hi Gary

I take CoQ10 at 200mg per day. CoQ10 is something your body makes naturally but sometimes you can get depleted and that will not help energy levels. Also if you are on a statin that can also affect CoQ10 levels.

I asked Prof Hughes if it was ok to take it and he agreed. If you do decide to get some go for a good make like Lambert's or Solgars. Take with food too.

I have Hughes, Sjogrens, FM and Hashimotos.

Hope you are feeling more energised soon.
