Its a horrible feeling isn't it! And so hard when you can't get any answers from the medical people. If it doesn't show on their tests they have no idea.
I felt like that after my TIA and felt that way until my INR was above 3. Please keep pushing for answers.
I don't know your history or diagnosis but if you already have an APLS diagnosis push for better anticoagulation and that might help you feel better.
Are you on warfarin? the trouble here is many of us including myself go through the same, understandably you can actually suffer from many tias a day, I did for years culminating in a larger stroke last year. It is important that we stay in theraputic range of 3-4, but unfortuately aps patients are hard to control. I hope this helps, have you been diagnosed with meniers disease? as this is definitely one of the symptoms, hope this helps kindest thoughts traceyloux
Hi it could be a number of things, as our inr can make a huge difference as the ladies above have said......I am extra confused if my inr drops under 3, also if it goes over 4.5 I can go dizzy, also TIA's can cause this which dont always show up on scans too I've heard, also inner ear disorders like Menieres disease / Labrythitis / Virtigo can also cause you to do this.... many of us have one of those too..............
You need to push until you get some answers as it could be just something so simple that with medication & advice you'll get improvement with.
I hope you get the answers you are looking for & are ok, keep us updated x
I have recently been tested for HS but it came back negative! But I too get this vertigo/light headed feeling it actually came on again two nights ago and I still have it be it slightly. Anything triggers it off but it is pretty awful. I am very frustrated as have had all my many symptoms for 26 years and am on Warfarin and yet am getting no where with doctors/consultants. I was told the episodes were a form of migrane but if I take my migrane tablets they make it worse and serc does not help either! I have just learnt to live with all my symptoms and don't bother even going to doctors now!
Hi thank you for your answers at present I only take aspirin 75mg. I am worried I am having Tia attacks im due to see Prof Hughes on Monday should I ask to trial heparin.
Years ago, long before I was diagnosed, I used to get light headed and pass out all of the time! Drs didn't know the problem and eventually it went away, but it was awful at the time I hated having to go anywhere on my own incase I passed out and looked like a wally! No help I know, but know how you feel.I hope you get it sorted x
