TIAs

Feeling even more dopey and muddled than usual and exhausted. INR ok so it's probably the fibro, but wondered - Is it possible to have TIAs if you're on warfarin?

Hi Mary and Lynn

Went to my osteopath this morning and he said that given I've got a slightly swollen leg, puffy finger, headache and tender back it looks like a fibro flare. I nearly fell asleep on the couch and he said he'd never seen me look so tired!

If I don't feel better in a day or two I'll go and see my doctor

Hi Caroline,

I have had optic TIA's when my inr was 3.2 plus a series of vascular events leading to hospital admission when also above 2.5. I take aspirin and warfarin but still they say it was probable TIA's as inr was fine and mri scan was fine but i strongly believe my symptoms plus left bundle branch after chest pain demonstrates a vascular prob not raynauds - i was light-headed heavy leg also so the usual battle with docs - one minute its is vascular next raynauds, but ive never had typical raynauds symptoms but my antibodies are very high fatigue been awful plus TIA's dont necessary show up on scan. I also believe aps sufferers do have micro clots that are not detected on imaging which certainly give a better rationale to my symptoms plus many others im sure.

Fibro can cause confusion so many symptoms cross over i acquired this diagnosis 2 yrs ago but it seems i got sjogrens and possible endo issues just waiting for tests. kathy x

I have had TIA's despite being on Clexane (heparin), I think it is true to say that thinning the blood is not always going to stop us having clots.

Better today but aches and pains all over so suggestive of a flare up of something. Physio has done some work on my sore hand and doctor had already said my leg is fine so just a question of being patient - something I'm not too good at!
