I had my son in Feb of 1977. Post op (C-Section) I ended up with hundreds of tiny blood clots in my lungs (Pulmonary embolisms) The doctors then siad it was because I had taken the pill. This was 1977!!!!!!!!!

I can't help but wonder it this was all started back then. Any ideas anyone?

That's for the article Mary F!!!

I know that people with APS have a dire reaction to the pill. I went on it around the age of 19... and ended up with such a severe headache I was admitted into St Thomas' it was very very bad.. and they did not know what was wrong, a long time before any diagnosis... however I read the small print on the paper that came with the brand I was on... and decided that as my father had had blood clots and my sister... that it was not a good idea... so stopped taking it! All birth control pills put a normal woman at a risk for clots. My best friend had a P.E. from the pill..
